Congratulations to Dondon & Tintin for their new baby - Christian Adonis Mendoza (Ian or AC)- born February 28, 2006. Dondon is in Saudi Arabia since last September and would be back probably in 2-3 years.
Also, congratulations to Merlyn Joyce Benito. She graduated from Kindergarten, 2nd honors, nag-speech nga daw eh! Keep it up, Joyce!
I'm happy that I now have communication with cousin Tetchie who is in Greece. Thanks to the computer, by email, IM, ecards and of course, blog. I'm updated with Famz's blog, Nicka surprised me nang mag IM sya sa akin the other night, tapos, may internet na rin sa amin sa Batangas, nag-eemailan kami nina Ate Lhynn, Jenny & Joshua.

Alicia's Junior & Senior Kindergarten Report Card
The Junior or Senior Kindergarten Report card here in Canada 's public schools is different from the report card I know. Di ito % or points or letters A,B,C,D etc. Junior Kindergarten Teacher: Mrs. Craik Term 1 - March 2005 Alicia is an eager student who enjoys being challenged at school. She is a beginning reader and confidently reads to all who will listen. Alicia eagerly takes part in whole group activities and visits a variety of classroom centers. She has become more comfortable working with different people (e.g., classmates, learning buddies, etc.) Alicia listens politely to adults and classmates at circle time. She takes directions well, listening for changes such as circle time or clean up. Alicia is independent undressing and dressing for home. Term 2 - June 2005 Alicia had progressed well during her Kindergarten year. She can relied upon to work and play cooperatively with her classmates. Alicia eagerly shares ideas and answers questions during large and small group work. Alicia is progressiong well in both her reading and writing this term. She sounds out words and uses charts and dictionaries to record her ideas in her Month to Month Me book. Alicia's reading is becoming more fluent and her bank of sight words is growing. Keep reading over the summer and good luck in SK, Alicia ! Senior Kindergarten Teacher: Mrs. Slichter Term 1 - January 2006 Alicia is a polite, friendly and cooperative student. She is an attentive listener during group time. She regularly shares her opinion and offers answers to questions posed. Alicia enjoys a variety of activities and willingly completes paper and pencil tasks. The people that she draws are very detailed and well proportioned. She is very interested in reading and writing activities and is making good gains in these areas. Alicia is a wonderful classroom helper and it is a pleasure having her as a member of our class. Term 2 would be issued on June. Kasi most of the children are just mastering the letters. Sabi niya one time "Mommy/Daddy, it's another boring day, learning letters, counting 1-20, yak, yak, yak..."Sana nga raw inilipat na siya sa Grade 1 pero kailangan pa rin niya ang kaedad niya, it's just the social aspects. But her teacher said she really needs to be challenged halimbawa ienroll siya sa Music lessons or other activites somewhere at kailangan niyang mag-enroll ng French Immersion next school year. And know what, maraming art activites and crafts niya ay nakadisplay sa school nila. More about Shushu March 25 - Early in the morning, ginising kami ni Shushu. Yun pala, her tooth fell out. Ay, tuwang tuwa siya! She said "that means, I am growing".

. Anyways, I'm just trying to recall what had happened those past months. Hmmmm.... August We went to Ottawa (capital of Canada) and Kingston. Nagrent kami ng hotel with a nice water slide and swimming pool. We have a great time, vacation namin for a week. We took a perry boat ride, sight seeing and went to different museums. September 3 rd - First day of school ni Shushu. Senior Kindergarten na siya. We were concerned for a while because this is a new school. We know she will miss her friends and her teacher in Howard Robertson Public pero okey na ngayon, marami na syang kaibigan in Franklin Public School and she's so very happy there. 10 th - We have the Apostle Hebeisen in our home. 17 th - It's my Honey Pie's birthday and me and Shushu had a surprised party for him. I invited his whole family. I already cooked some foods ahead of time and hid them in the freezer and Shushu made a "happy birthday" poster. That morning, me & Shushu gave him our cards and hang the poster then we went to different places. I always ask him what time we would be back and on the way back, I stopped at the market to get some stuffs. He could sensed na may mangyayari. October It is the New Apostolic Church's Thanksgiving Day service worldwide (every 1st Sunday) . In our Kingsdale congregation, and maybe in other congregation, every year on a Saturday morning, we meet in a Farmer's Market to buy the best fruits and vegetables to offer for the altar's decoration. After buying magtatagpo naman kami sa isang malaking restaurant for breakfast courtesy of our Apostle Kraus then tuloy na sa church to decorate. This month is also Canada's Thanksgiving. Hay naku, marami na namang pumpkins. 25th - That's when we moved here in our new home. Something new again for us. But there is more advantage/s living here. It's across from Shushu's school. Heto nga lang, balik-renovating si Judson. Not much of family time together. But okey lang. As of now, looking much better na ang aming house., big difference na talaga. November Hay naku, this is the time na lagi kong inaalaala na nakaisang taon na pala mula nang makaparito sina Nanay & Tatay ko, ang bilis talaga ng panahon, parang kelan lang. They were here for 3 weeks only, bitin! But those days were the happiest day for me. I wish they could stay longer.. Some of my Tatay & Nanay's pictures: 9 th - We went to Humane Society to look for a cat. Matagal na kasing gustong magkaroon ng pet si Shushu, we told her to wait till we move and get things organized. She wanted her pet to be named Sweetie Pie. So punta kami sa K-W Humane Society, wala kaming magustuhang pusa, then sa Guelph Humane Society and in Petsmart. Balik K-W uli kami, the whole afternoon, we spent our time looking for the right cat, we prayed for this too. Hindi na sana kami kukuha ng pusa that day, but we could see sadness in Shushu's face and kasi, nakabili na kami ng cat toys and cat foods, handa na talaga. Then, pabalik-balik kami, tiningnan kung anong age and name ng pusa. At yon, we finally found it. The cat's name is Shusha, 3 months old, grey tabby. Then pinapasok kami sa loob to hold it and for bonding e, very friendly yon. So we decided for it, Punta kami sa reception to registered that we would be its owner and of course, to pay. Nakakatawa nga si Shushu dahil sabi niya she is Shusha's big sister, hahaha. I really didn't want having a pet at home, pero wow, I love our cat now. It's like Shusha is one of us. She makes us laugh and whenever it's pray time, she's also there with us. Nakakapaamo talaga, nakakagigil ! This is Shusha. O di ba, ang cute niya.... December Of course, it's Christmas time. After the service, we went home, ate lunch and went to Niagara Falls and stayed in one of the hotels with a swimming pool, for a night. Supposed to be 2 nights but Shushu was worrying too much about Shusha back home, and it was because, di namin makita ang view ng falls and did not see the fireworks, in short, we did not enjoy our stay. Tapos, on the way, we went to the Wax Museum, we paid $45 entrance fee pero di man lang kami nakatagal ng 10 minutes kasi takot si Shushu, umiiyak sya. Para totoo talaga yung mga celebrities in the form of wax, parang buhay sila. So lumabas na sina daddy Judson at Shushu at sabi ko, I'll go alone, pero dyoskoday, natakot narin ako, nag-iisa nga ako at may horror pathway kasi na may nakakakilabot na music, balik agad ako, di ko kayang mag-isa ron. Pero sayang, nakita ko sanang lahat at lalong sayang yung pera no? 28 th - That's our 7th wedding anniversary, 7 years na? Wow! Marami kaming naging ups and downs in life but we always have faith. We went to a very nice restaurant for lunch. January 1 st- New Year's Day- we attended the divine service in Kitchener Central at nagkataong sina District Apostle Latorcai and Apostle Sabottka ang nag serve. That afternoon, we have family gathering. We had turkey dinner. First time kong magluto ng turkey, tinuruan ako ni Sheila. I prepared cooking the turkey ahead of time, matagal kasi itong lutuin at saka maselan. The turkey is a Christmas gift from Judson's company. It usually costs about $50-60. Anyways, everybody had a great time and at pinuri ako ng aking biyenan, masarap daw akong magluto, sey nyo? It's also a birthday celebration for me. 2nd - Birthday ko, nge! 37 na pala ako, tanda na! But sabi nila rito, bata pa raw akong tingnan. Well, thank you very, very much! Nakapagcelebrate na naman ako ng birthday kaya it's just an ordinary day lang. But early that morning, about 5:00 am, ginising ako at si Judson ng telephone ring, know who's the caller? , my utol Dondon (in Saudi Arabia) nagleave siya ng message, di ko agad nasagot kasi hindi agad ako nakabangon, then, nag ring uli at nakita ko sa caller ID na pang overseas ang # kaya sinagot ko at yun si Dondon. Nice to hear his voice, about 15 minutes kaming nag-usap. Nag wish sa akin ng happy birthday at happy new year. January birthdays : Me- Jan. 2, Dondon- Jan. 29, Nanay - Jan. 30 February 4th - birthday ni Daddy este ni Tatay ko. 11th - birthday nina Jenny & Famy 13th - Remembering our beloved Orlie, 35 years old na sana siya. 14th - Valentine's Day. We gave cards to each other, Me, Judson and Shushu. Even Shushu had a card for Shusha. I told Judson a few years ago, not to buy me flowers anymore (perahin na lang, hehe) Kasi, ilang araw lang naman at malalanta lang yon, Ang card niyang binibili sa akin ay napakamahal at napakaganda, full of loving words, wow! Excited si Shushu dahil sa valentine event sa school and she had to give her cards to all her classmates and her teacher. She made all the cards. She's so artistic and creative. The other parents of her classmates for sure would not believe that it is Shushu's own works. Kasi nga Senior Kinder lang siya but she already is ahead. March 1 st - Shushu's birthday. 6 years old na. where did the time go? So, nagdala siya ng cupcakes sa school to share with her classmates. It's ordinary day lang, nag-sort out lang kami ni Shushu ng giveaways. Then that night, nagdecorate na kami for her party on the 4th. Di kaming dalawa makapaghintay. 4 th - Birthday party ni Shushu. Excited siya talaga, always asking how much longer. There were 13 childern invited but the 3 did not show up. Maraming activities like chicken limbo, face painting, necklace/bracelet making, egg hunting, coloring and painting at nakapos sa oras, nalimutan namin ang blindfolding and pinyata (pinagkahirapan ko pa namang gawin). She had a Barbie cake with musical candle.Of course, marami syang natanggap na gifts. The next day, may natanggap pa rin siyang gifts in the church. Anyways, she wrote a thank you cards for all who came and gave her gifts. 19 th - We went to Kitchener Central for a Tridistrict Service and for the birthdays of our D. Apostle Latorcai and other 2 apostles. Apostle Hebeisen was there, served. After the service, I had the opportunity to give him a hug and talk for a little while. May kausap nga siya, marami kaming nakapila (pang-3 na ako) to greet him pero nakita nya ako at kinawayan kaya sige, excuse me lang, mga kapatid, ako muna. I'm always happy to see him. He's one of my favorite person, you know. Judson and Shushu were already outside kasi maraming tao, thought of less chance to greet them, pero mabilis ako, nawawalan ng poise huh! Sayang daw at di niya nakita sina Judson and Shushu. But in the summer, they will stay here for about a month and we can get together once more. Di ko napansin, Sammy was just behind me. It was a mild winter lang this year. Hindi ako nakagawa ng Snow Girl. And then, Springtime is here. That means nagsisibulan na naman ang mga damo at halaman, planting season and of course, spring cleaning. Gaganda na naman ang kapaligiran.

Our New Apostolic Church celebrates special Thanksgiving Day every 1st Sunday of October every year. This is an excerpt from the divine Service of our Chief Apostle Fehr:
On Thanksgiving day we want to bring a special thank offering to God. The question could arise: For what should we thank, praise and extol God? It is easy to provide an answer: For everything! We want to express out thanks - for our daily bread - for physical strenght, -that we are able to pursue our work - for our health Even when we are ill we want to express our thanks that we repeatedly receive - the strenght to bear our burdens, as well as - peace and comfort
Chief Apostle Streckeisen once said, "Have you ever thanked our loving God for the air you breathe?" Without air our life would indeed be over within minutes!
Have you ever thanked our loving God that the sun rises each day? Without the sun there would indeed only be bitterly cold night. Life would be impossible. When we carefully ponder and reflect , there are hundreds, even thousands of things for which we can thank our Heavenly Father.
We always want to express our thanks for - our election which is and continues to be wonder and a mystery - becoming God's children - grace, redemption, and salvation - God's word - the effectiveness of the sacraments, and - the spiritual light which shines for us
We do not go into an uncertain future. Rather we know where our way leads us. furthermore, we express our thanks for - God's great love which we repeatedly experience and which envelops us, as well as - the joy which we permitted to cherish.
We should and want to express our thanks foe all the great blessings and the wonderful service of the angels.
Let us not forget: We want to express our thanks for the wonderful future of God's people. the Lord Jesus will come to complete His work and take home His bride. This comprises those who have been baptised with the Holy Spirit and are prepared to received Christ at His appearing. They "shall all be changed". (1 Corinthians 15:51). The dead in Christ who preceded us into the beyond will also join us (cf. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). The inheritance of glory is promised to all of these (cf. Romans 8:17; Ephesians 1:14). For all of this we will continue to express our thanks eternally. This picture shows how we decorate our altars on Thanksgiving Day.

 JUST FOR LAUGHS
Old Friends
A man was invited to the home of some old friends for dinner. His buddy preceded every request to his wife by endearing terms, calling her Honey, My Love, Darling, Sweetheart, Pumpkin, etc. The guest was impressed since the couple had been married almost 70 years, and while the wife was off in the kichen he said to his friend, "I think it's wonderful that after all the years you've been married, you still call your wife those lovey names". The old guy hung his head. "To tell you the truth, I forgot her name about ten years ago".
How Was I Born?
A little boy asked his Dad one day, "Daddy, how was I born?" His father responded, "Ah my son, I guess one day you will find out yourself. Well, you see, your mom and I first got together in a chat room on Yahoo. Then, I set up a date via e-mail with your mom and we met at a cyber-cafe. We sneaked into a secluded room, where your mother agreed to a download but we discover that neither of us had used a firewall and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later, a blessed little Pop-up appeared and said, "You've got male".
Deceiving Portrayal
A woman decided to have her portrait painted. she told the artist, "Paint me with diamond rings, a diamond necklace, emerald bracelets, a ruby broach, and gold Rolex." "But you are not wearing any of those things," he replied. "I know," she said. "It's in case I should die before my husband. I'm sure he will remarry right away, and I want his new wife to go crazy looking for the jewelry."

This would be our 5th time to move from one place to the other.
We were renting/ living in the house basement of Judson's older brother for 11 months. Shushu was 2 months old that time when his brother had just owned an apartment building and we're asked to be the superintendent there and it would be half rent lang, so we moved. It was on the 3rd floor but gosh.. its hard if you will always go up and down the stairs. We waited for an apartment in the first floor to be vacant and it was. So from 3rd floor to 1st floor, at least not too bad because we're moving our things a little bit at a time, not a same day moving. But we became tired of being supers - dealing with tenants, maintenance etc. So we thought of moving again the time when I was willing to be a caregiver. There was a lot of memories in that apartment buildings though. I had a diary of Shushu's developments and the wonderful things she did as a baby. Then, we returned to the same house we lived before only that it was in the main level. Rental din ito. This was where I started to do the daycare nga. But then I suggested Judson that we should just get a house instead of renting. Why pay the landlord where you could possibly can have your own house which of course is a great investment. Renting is just a waste of money. Besides, I just did not want to live in the house or property of his brother. So in short we've got a semi detatched house where we are right now. Nakahinga ako ng maluwag. We can call it our OWN, magagawa mo ang gusto mo rito. This is a 3 bedrooms, 2 3-piece bathrooms, sunroom, garden shed, walked out basement, porch, fenced yard, large living room, dining room and kitchen. It's too big for us. Sometimes me, Jud & Shu are scattered. Me here in the upstairs working on the computer, Shu is in the main level sa living room watching her favorite TV shows while playing and making a mess and Judson is in the basement watching TV news. When my parents, Nanay & Tatay were here last year, nalilito sila kung saang pinto papasok. Judson did a very good job renovating here. This added value to the house. When we bought this house, we took some pictures of how it looks like, now what a big difference! So now that it was done and looking good, we decided to sold this after 3 years. Within just 3 days, we sold the house on the asking price kasi nga maganda na e. The reason for moving, Shu is in Senior Kindergarten now and too far from a school. And I'm not getting children from the Region anymore kasi nga parents mostly preferred na malapit sa school ang caregivers for their children.Ay naku, l was always crying because I really wouldn't like to leave this house. Oh my! I really really love this. But now I faced the fact to move on. There would be more benefits in the new house that we've got and this time, long term na. We'll be moving on October 25.I had just started packing things up(again) bit by bit. Excited? Yes and no. The new house is where the school is there and close to all amenities - markets, malls, parks, our church. And maybe I would get lots of kids to look after. I need to earn an income talaga. Na dedesperate na nga ako sometimes but I know, our Heavenly Father will provide.
I always have to remember this and you too:
If you pray, don't worry. If you worry, don't pray.

Becoming a Home Child Care Provider
One day, Shushu said "Daddy, Mommy, I need a friend". 2 1/2 years old lang siya. Na-touched kami ni Judson. We realized, she had nobody to played with. Nasa bahay lang kami, minsan lang kami pumupunta sa mga parks or every Sunday, she could be with other children. So we made a decision to move to a house, where there's much bigger space, nasa apartment lang kami. I read in the newspapers about getting an information to become a home day care provider. I called the Region of Waterloo so they sent me an application form, then I should have CPR Training, References and Police Check and House check (quarterly). It did not take long and a Caseworker in our area came to interview me. So yun, that was the start. Best of all, I generated an income, sa akin na lang ang pambayad sa apartment rent at bills at hindi lahat kay Judson umaasa.About $750 ang rent monthly (magkano yon sa peso?)Tsk...tsk... very expensive. Anyways, after the processing ng day care application, I've been provided with subsidized children. The Region pays me and it's tax deductible which is good.A Provider should have maximum 5 children at a time. The first one- every Saturday lang for 2 months, 3 kids yon but ages 4, 6 & 8,brothers & sister with different fathers and take note, they all were born August. Their mother looks young. Second, a 3 year old Romanian boy, full time for 4 months. Third, another 3 Romanian boys for part time for 7 months. Fourth, a brother & sister who were going to school that after 5 months. Fifth, a 3 1/2 year old girl that after 2 months, we found out that she's New Apostolic (that's why before eating, the first time, I noticed that she folds her hands and closes her eyes) Her mother saw the Apostles'pictures near our kitchen when our door was widely opened. Sixth, a 9 month old girl for 1 year.Seventh, a 12 year old, after school or sometimes overnight for 4 months. Eighth, 2 Korean kids with a mean mother. Ninth, after school kid na brother nung 9 months old. Then a 1 1/2 boy that lasted 2 years and had just recently transferred. I gained a lot of experiences sa mga batang ito. Mahirap pero enjoy naman ako, May different attitudes sila syempre and also dealing with parents, naku!I have no consistency with children, walang nagtatagal, the reasons, mothers go to school at may mga term date sila. Others, I gave up, sometimes conflicts and also relocating. Mostly, they are broken families/ single parents. Nakakalungkot kasi dahil ng divorce, it usually affects the children's behaviors. That's why, as a child care provider, you should be at your best, act like a second parent to love, understand, feed and teach them. It's more than babysitting. Para kang maraming anak na maliligalig. Shushu enjoyed the company of some of them, at least nga, there are other children she can played with
Right now, I have no other children. That means no income huhuhu. Walang available children in our area. That's for about 3 months na. So, we decided to move....

The Best Gift for Me & Judson
I arrived here in Canada for the second time May 11,1999 with a visitor visa. I really planned to go back to the Phils. but I had an unexpected pregnancy so we talked to the D. Ap. Wagner and he told us, I should stay here. I received prenatal blessing from our D. Ev. Busch. We contacted the immigration office so I could be a landed immigrant. Pero nagkahassle ang processing up to the point that I had not been covered by the Ontario Health Plan, malaki ang gastos talaga. Judson and I faced difficulties - my homesickness, pregnancy, he lost his job, car breakdowns, immigration, of course, money. But we got through it. I was expected to give birth by 2nd week of March. The Busch's held a Baby Shower for me February 22, and lots of people from our church were there. I was crying talaga for joy kasi ang daming gifts for our baby to be, shower talaga - dresses, shoes, toys, car seat, bouncy seat, face cloths, diapers and wipes, many to mention. They are really are happy and excited for us. Judson wanted ALICIA for a name (hindi pa man kami kasal, nabanggit na niya ito) so I picked the middle name BRIANNA - Alicia Brianna Blake - what a pretty name!
March 01, 2000 - a very beautiful gift for us arrived. So, it was earlier than expected. Sumakit ang tiyan ko February 29, afternoon, I was alone, Judson was at work so I called him and he promised to get back earlier, di ko na makaya, so 5:00 pm we went to the hospital but the doctor sent us back home because it might take a while pa raw pero ang sakit talaga, nagbled na nga ako kaya balik na naman kami sa hospital at 10 pm. We thought our baby be born the 29th e leap year yon. It was a hard labor for me. That was the first time na madextosan ako. Finally, I was brought to the birthing room. Judson felt bad for me, he was crying to see me in pain. Forcep delivery hah! Then I heard our baby's cry. It was like she says "Here I am, here I am" . And we cried... for joy. We're a proud parent. WOW! ALICIA BRIANNA BLAKE "Shushu" March 01, 2000 I:27 pm weighed 8 lbs. 3 oz measured 21 inches We are really blessed with a happy, beautiful and intelligent daughter. She is just contented, always smiling. As a baby, she did not cried a lot, she made my job, being a mommy, easy. Other mommies said how they wish their babies are like Alicia. Yes, of course, I 'm a teacher and have time and dedication for my baby Alicia to teach her but in most cases, she was doing it on her own which really amazed us. Here are her developments / abilities/ accomplishments, etc.
She smiled at 3 weeks old She help up her head at 2 months She sat up (w/ help) at 2 1/2 months She stood up and rolled over at 3 months She walked alone at 10 months, she never crawled She cut her first tooth at 10 1/2 months Her first words sounded like "thank you" Her first bright saying was "off we go"
Her First birthday celebration was organized by my friends Colleen and Mony at the Hankin's residence, that was so very nice of them. Where did the time go?. Imagine, she's 5 1/2 year old na. Some special things she did:
1 year old - knew the alphabets, different colors and shapes 2 year old - sang different nursery rhymes songs, draws faces 3 year old - prayed the "Lord's Prayer", wrote her name, knew about the different planets, put 24 pcs. puzzle w/o help 4 year old - read by herself, counted up to to 100, made Valentine cards for her teacher and her 20 classmates, prays very well.
* * * Her first airplane ride - October 21, 2002, when we went to the Philippines for a 7 week vacation. It was such a memorable moments with my family, relatives & friends.
* * * Her first stage performance - Sunday School Christmas Presentation 2003, where she's an angel and confidently said her piece alone.
* * * Her first day of school - Sept.12, 2004, Junior Kindergarten
* * * She loves making crafts, answering activity books- coloring, dot to dot, mazes, finding the differences, etc.
* * * She's very creative, very curious, loving, thoughtful but she's so very sensitive.
* * * She loves Polly Pockets, Barbie & Little Ponies.
She was been recognised by her school Howard Robertson Public School
VERN COLE AWARD RECIPIENT (The Love of Reading) Way to go, Shushu! Mommy & Daddy are very happy and proud of you! We love you so much!

That's our girl!
Sabi nila, talagang pang model si Alicia. Agree? Naku, baka kung nasa Philippines kami, makukuha siyang muse o beauty contestant ( huwag lang perahan ha!) o maaaring maging artista. Hoy, pansinin ang beauty niya ! Maraming napapatingin sa kanya, wow! good feeling ba ga! Hay naku nga! But you know what? I like to see her in magazines/ catalogs. At lalo na ngayon, as she grows, she's becoming more beautiful. But to be a model here, when a Model Agency is on search, you have to apply, appear personally of course in a certain location and have to pay fees. I don't like FEEs. I like FREE hehehe.
SHUSHU - Why we call her this nickname? That was from the Apostle & Sister Hebeisen. When we got together (Me, Jud, Ap. & Sis. Hebeisen) in a fellowship, I was pregnant by then, we heard the Apostle called Sis. Lucienne "ChouChou" (not sure w/ the spelling) Jud & I looked at each other and then said that word at the same time, we giggled. We asked what's the meaning of it, Ap. said "Little Treasure" So we were also calling each other ChouChou. And when Alicia was born, it became her nickname, and just spelled it SHUSHU para Tagalog. Okey naman coz she really is our little treasure and it's also close to her name CIACIA. That's it! By the way, do you know that there is a Chou Chou doll?
They are asking kung masusundan pa si Shushu. No. I don't like anymore. Ang hirap! I don't want to experience the birthing anymore. Forcep delivery nga or kahit ceasarian or natural, basta, ayoko na talaga. I'm not discouraging anybody. But on my part, since I'm far from my loved ones in the Phils, one thing is the emotional aspects. Nagkaroon din kasi ako ng post natal depression and that's for about 1 1/2 years ata. I wish they were with me when I need them most. Okey lang namang si Shushu lang. She's a real joy and wonderful and beautiful blessings for us. We're very happy with her. And besides, magastos eh, I just want to earn, earn $$$$ para makatulong sa family, relatives and friends at sa lahat ng nangangailangan ng tulong financially (how I really wish!) and also be free. Afterall, and at least, naranasan ko namang maging ina. As I've said, "akala ko magiging matandang dalaga ako forever".

Remembering our Love Story
I thought I would be "matandang dalaga" forever. Kasi, I'm on my late 20's na, did not ever have any serious relationship with a guy. Besides, I was a teacher. I've been teased, marami kasing teacher na matandang dalaga. Naku pu! Mahuhuli na nga yata ako sa byahe. In the school where I worked lahat nang matatandang dalaga ang barkada ko. And know what, that time, I really hated Valentine's Day, kasi wala akong maka-date hu, hu, hu!
But our Lord had other plans for me. He had someone special for me.
Here's the story: July 1997 I received a letter from our church Apostle Hebeisen that there's a brother (in faith) from Canada seeking correspondence to a faithful sister. To think, of all the South Asian New Apostolic girl that our Apostle knew, he had chosen me. What a blessing! But yet, I did not respond. The reason, I'm falling for a German guy, he's so cute, kaya lang, 1/2 lang ako sa height niya. We were friends, we talked about lots of things. But one time, nabasa ko na naman yung sulat ni Apostle. It haunted me. I decided to write this Canadian, what is there to lose? At the same time this Canadian was waiting and waiting for a response from our Apostle. He thought the Apostle would give him a name and address of a girl to write with. By the way, He really did not know our Apostle personally, but there was a prompting within him to contact Apostle by asking assistance from the other church minister in Canada. So after months of his waiting, "here I go!" We exchanged letters and greeting cards and pictures. He used FEDEX or Purolator, while mine, ordinary mail lang that takes few weeks for him to recieved. So siyangapala, he's name is Judson, 9 years older than me, of course, gwapo, single and we have the same faith. But still I said, what ever will be, will be. Afterall, I'm in love talaga kay Tangkad. Double Timer ako, 'no. I remember the first time we talked on the phone kasama ko si Famz, umuusok! Then he really got interested in me more and more and decided to see me in person, oh gracious! Nakakakaba! I felt his sincerity especially in one of those letters where I mentioned about my deceased beloved brother Orlie and he said he placed a special offering and prayers for Orlie (I really missed him a lot!)
June 1998 Judson arrived at Philippine Airport. Ate Lhynn, Kuya Mervin and I picked him up. Oh my! what should I say...napipipi ako. Sabi ko, yung looks namin, di kami bagay. (Wala akong self esteem ano?) Then umuwi kami sa Batangas to introduce him to my parents. Still he was a stranger to me, pinangangaralan nga nila ako,"hoy asikasuhin mo naman ang bisita mo" kasi nagsaSunday School lang ako, mas asikaso ko pa ang mga bata. But he had the chance, he talked to me, seriously, and said that he prayed very hard for the right girl for a long time. "Bheth, you're the one I want to be with"......"You're the reason why I'm here"....."There's something special about you".....and then the final...."Will you marry me?" Oh my, oh my! Nag"YES" ako but I was not sure, ano ba yan? Seryoso talaga siya. So nagvisit sya sa aming school with Famz. siyempre tinutukso nila ako. Pero bagay na bagay naman daw kami. Yun saka lang kami nagdate. We attended church service in Makati at ipinakilala ko siya lahat doon and of course, kay Tangkad na ewan ko ba't biglang nawala yung feeling ko nga kay Tangkad. Judson stayed in the Philippines for 2 weeks lang.

July 1998 I received a letter from Julia, Judson's sister, excitedly telling me about her brother's Philippine trip. Judson said that he had a very good time there and all the people are nice and friendly and that he wished to be back there again soon. Also, Judson told me that I should go to Canada for a visit to meet his family and the congregation so I have to get my papers ready. Then, lagi akong absent from school dahil sa visa processing nga. At nagpapadala naman siya ng datung.
October 1998 I went to Canada and stayed with Rev. Richard & Luann Busch (the're like my adopted parents here) for 3 weeks. I had lots of fond memories. Judson and I talked about our wedding date, I wanted it by March 1999 but he said "no, I want it tomorrow". He couldn't wait and gave me an expensive engagement ring. We received our Engagement Blessings (October 14) through District Apostle Wagner. I got back to the Philippines to prepare for our wedding day, DEC. 28, 1998. Ano ang dala ko? Wedding gown. Wala nang urungan!
Favorite Song: Somewhere out There December 1998 Judson returned to the Philippines to spent Christmas with us. He tried to be early as possible because he wanted to witness Edwin & Famy's Wedding Day (Dec.19)Of course, it was something new for him ang Paskong Pinoy & kasi, it's not winter wonderland. He adopted easily in different situations. And siyempre, ikaw mangyan, if you love somebody, you will love his or her whole world. May lover's quarrel din kami but we talked, then prayed together and this made us closer to each other. So, came the day we've been waiting for - our Wedding Day - a special occasion and at last, nakasakay nga ako sa byaheng langit. March 1999 sana ang wedding so Apostle Hebeisen would be the officiant but Judson couldn't wait any longer and that was the only time he could take his vacation, Christmas time. Apostle Hebeisen & family were already scheduled to be in Switzerland so it was Apostle Gabriel who married us.
